CMA CGM has committed to increasing Suez transits in the second half of 2026 after talks with Suez Canal Authority chairman Osama Rabie on 18 August. The authority says 199 CMA CGM ships carrying 5.2m tonnes have transited so far this year, against 212 ships and 18.8m tonnes in all of 2025, indicating larger, fuller vessels.
