Maersk drops Shanghai from Dragon service from Aug 21 as Qilin takes direct Australia cargo

Maersk has removed Shanghai from its Asia-Oceania Dragon service effective with the ONE San Diego 634S voyage on 21 August, shifting Shanghai-Australia cargo to the Qilin loop. Qilin runs Shanghai-Sydney-Melbourne-Shanghai with transit of about 14 days to Sydney and 17 days to Melbourne, some four to nine days faster than Dragon. Brisbane-Shanghai exporters lose their direct call and must now transship via Hong Kong or Tanjung Pelepas.
