FCL (Full Container Load) means you rent an entire container exclusively for your cargo, ideal for large shipments that fill a 20ft or 40ft container. LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidates your goods with other shipments in a shared container, which is more cost-effective for smaller volumes. FCL generally offers faster transit times since the container goes directly to the destination port, while LCL may require additional handling at consolidation and deconsolidation warehouses.
Transit times vary by route. China to the US West Coast typically takes 14-18 days; China to the US East Coast takes 25-35 days; China to Europe takes 28-35 days; and Southeast Asia routes take 7-14 days. These are port-to-port estimates. Door-to-door delivery adds additional time for customs clearance and inland transport.
