DAT spot market data for the week ending June 20 shows flatbed linehaul rates ticked up another cent to $2.94 per mile, a new all-time high and the 14th consecutive weekly increase. Reefer rates remained historically strong at $3.37 per mile all-in, with produce shipments out of California up $1.05 per mile year over year. Capacity tightened further as van equipment posts fell 10% and reefer equipment posts dropped 10%, pushing load-to-truck ratios higher.
