Hapag-Lloyd files $1,000 and CMA CGM $2,000 per container September GRIs on US lanes

Summary

Hapag-Lloyd will apply a $1,000 per container general rate increase from the Indian Subcontinent, Pakistan and the Middle East to the USA and Canada for all containers gated in full from 15 September. CMA CGM is raising its existing GRI to $2,000 per container on cargo from Indian Subcontinent, Middle East Gulf and Red Sea load ports to US East and Gulf coast and Canadian destinations from 1 September. Both are open-ended.
