Summary

China's national cold-chain logistics network continued to scale through the first half of 2026, with total cold-storage capacity reaching 270 million cubic metres at the end of June, up 4.6% year on year, state broadcaster CCTV reported on 26 July 2026. A backbone of 105 national cold-chain logistics bases now spans the eastern, central and western regions and handles the bulk of fresh-produce transshipment and distribution.
