Air freight spot rates from Asia to Europe remained firm in the week ending 19 June despite returning capacity on the Middle East routing corridor. Average spot rates from the Middle East to Europe stayed near $3.76 per kilo, down only 1% week-on-week even as capacity rose 13%. The resilience reflects continued risk surcharges, higher jet fuel costs and the still-limited bellyhold capacity.
