COSCO Shipping Ports lifts H1 throughput 7.9% to 80.16m TEU as profit jumps 28.5%

COSCO Shipping Ports handled 80,157,047 TEU in the first half of 2026, up 7.9%, with equity throughput up 7.0% to 24.49m TEU. Revenue rose 12.3% to $905.3m and profit attributable to equity holders climbed 28.5% to $233.7m, with a first interim dividend of 2.360 US cents a share. Chinese terminals handled 59.02m TEU, up 4.7%. Overseas volumes grew 18% to 21.14m TEU, led by Chancay in Peru up 68.2% to 201,773 TEU, while Piraeus fell 2.9% and Abu Dhabi dropped 44.3%.
