The Shanghai Containerized Freight Index rose 99.91 points, or 2.93%, to 3,509.54 on 28 August, its fifth straight weekly gain and first close above 3,500. Panama Canal water constraints pushed Shanghai-US East Coast up $346 to $10,046/FEU, while US West Coast added $175 to $6,940. Europe went the other way, down $342 to $4,321, and the Mediterranean down $430 to $4,664. Santos jumped 15.36% to $9,438 and CCFI gained 0.7% to 1,833.99.
