FedEx will invest around $150m in a fully automated integrated air cargo hub at GMR Cargo City, Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, bringing its international gateway and pickup-and-delivery operations under one 230,000 sq ft roof. Processing capacity will rise from 600 to 5,000 packages an hour, with an auto-sorter, latest-generation X-ray machines and intelligent package handling. The site sits in a 50-acre cargo district of 1.5m to 2m sq ft and follows February's Navi Mumbai terminal.
