Warehouse robotics start-up UNIT AI announced a $12 million funding round on 29 July 2026, co-led by Prologis Ventures, Dynamo Ventures and Ground Up Ventures, with participation from eGateway Capital, Recursive Ventures, Think + Ventures, ZEP Fund and Crosscourt. The company's palm-sized robots handle each-level storage and retrieval inside a standalone unit that can be installed in as little as 1,000 square feet without redesigning a facility or replacing shelving, sold on a pay-per-use model the firm says returns ROI in under 12 months. Founded 22 months ago by Caja Robotics co-founder Guy Glass and former Plus One Robotics president Avihou Barkay, UNIT AI counts Barrett, ShipCalm, DaVinci and Carter among its customers and is targeting returns processing, where e-commerce return rates run 20-30%.
