The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing released first-half 2026 data on 29 July, showing total social logistics value of RMB 181.1 trillion, up 5.1% year on year and 0.4 percentage points above GDP growth, with Q1 up 6.2% and Q2 up 4.4%. Logistics industry revenue reached RMB 7.2 trillion, up 4.7%, while the logistics prosperity index averaged 49.9%, up 0.3 points from Q1. Structural shifts were pronounced: high-tech manufacturing logistics rose 13.3% and digital product manufacturing 12.3%, against declines of 11.4% in crude oil import volume and 11.3% in steel, while semiconductor equipment imports jumped 20.4% and integrated circuits 8.1%.
