Association for Advancing Automation data show North American companies ordered 17,995 robots worth $1.166bn in the first half of 2026, up 2.0% in units and 6.6% in value year on year. Q2 orders reached 8,940 units and $622m, up 4.3% and 21.3%. Semiconductor, electronics and photonics buying rose 35% and life sciences 32%, while automotive OEM orders fell 25%. Cobots took 15.4% of units.
