Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd to resume Suez routing on Gemini AE15 loop

Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd said on 6 July they will return the Gemini Cooperation's AE15 service (Asia-Mediterranean-Turkey) to the Suez/Red Sea routing, ending a Cape of Good Hope diversion. Hapag-Lloyd said the shift cuts overall transit time by about four weeks. Both carriers stressed the move is gradual and reversible if Red Sea security deteriorates.
