Carriers file 1 September GRIs and Panama surcharges of up to $500/TEU on East Coast cargo

Summary

Transpacific GRIs take effect on 1 September, at roughly $1,800-2,250 per 40ft high-cube on US West Coast FAK and spot, with larger increases to the East Coast, while Panama Canal surcharges stack on top. CMA CGM moves to $500 per TEU from 10 September and MSC to $149-376 per container from 12 September, with ONE at $150 and Hapag-Lloyd at $130 per TEU already in place. West Coast cargo is unaffected. The canal cuts daily slots to 34 on 3 September and 32 from 15 September.
