From 1 July 2026, the European Union removed the €150 duty-free threshold for low-value consignments imported from outside the EU, replacing it with a temporary flat €3 customs duty per item. The measure, part of the EU Customs Reform, runs until July 2028 and will require line-item product identifiers from 1 November 2026. Logistics providers and cross-border sellers face new compliance, classification and landed-cost complexities as consolidated clearance for low-value B2C shipments is also restricted.
