The 2026 season of the China-Europe Arctic Express made its first call at Fuzhou Port's Jiangyin terminal on 21 August, the only Fujian port on the rotation. Using the Northern Sea Route, the service cuts more than 15 days off the voyage versus the Suez routing and reduces vessel carbon emissions by around 30%, according to Fuzhou MSA. The loop mainly carries Fujian's new-energy and new-materials exports to Europe.
