Cainiao tells APEC customs dialogue its AI clearance system cuts processing time by 80%

Cainiao CEO Wan Lin told the APEC Customs-Business Dialogue in Dalian on 20-21 August that the group's AI customs platform - covering commodity classification, dynamic duty calculation and compliance screening - has cut single-shipment clearance time by 80%. Cainiao runs more than 100 cross-border warehouses and sortation hubs around Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Liege and Los Angeles, and plans robotised warehouse investment in several APEC economies.
