Yantian Port Completes First Water-to-Water Transshipment Export Under Single-Bill Multimodal Scheme

Shenzhen's Yantian Port completed its first water-to-water transshipment export shipment, reported on 31 July 2026, moving 480 air conditioners that departed Zhongshan Port, transferred at Yantian and sailed for Europe aboard the vessel Oriental Wisdom. Yantian was the sailing's only South China call and the final departure node before leaving China; the port worked with Dapeng Customs so the operator files a single multimodal transport application covering the whole journey, supporting mid-route transfers and route changes while cutting declaration data fields. Yantian now runs 17 barge feeder services covering the Greater Bay Area plus southwest and central China, connecting to more than 100 international services weekly.
