Valenciaport July containers fall 9.84% to 459,517 TEU as rail boxes jump 17.97%

Valenciaport handled 459,517 TEU in July, down 9.84% from 509,685 TEU in July 2025, one of its strongest Julys on record, leaving seven-month volume at 3,279,119 TEU, down 1.34%. Rail container traffic rose 17.97% to 172,328 TEU and rail tonnage 19.31% to 2.30m tonnes, while vehicle traffic grew 19.09% in July to 48,405 units. China remained the largest market at 546,966 TEU, up 18.39%, ahead of the US at 193,179 TEU, down 16.22%.
